Google Search Console
Ask Claude about your organic Google search: which searches bring people to your site, which pages win clicks, where a small ranking gain would pay off, and whether a page is indexed — pulled live from Search Console. Read-only.
◆
Beta. Search Console is available to every SyncMetrics account — find the Google Search Console card on your
dashboard. Tool names and answers may still change while it's in beta.
Prerequisites
◆
- A verified site in Google Search Console, and a Google account with Full or Restricted access to it
- Google Search Console authorized on your dashboard
- Claude (or another MCP client)
Connecting Search Console
- On your dashboard, click Connect Search Console and grant read-only access.
- Add the site(s) SyncMetrics should report on. The starred one is your default; Claude only reads sites you add here.
- In Claude, add https://mcp.syncmetrics.io and sign in with the same account.
What you can do
Organic search overview
Clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position against the previous period, with your top searches, top pages, devices and countries in one call.
Searches, pages & quick wins
See the searches and pages that drive clicks, what gained or lost since the last period, and "striking distance" opportunities: searches where you rank 4–20 with plenty of impressions, so a small ranking gain moves clicks the most.
Indexing & sitemaps
Check whether a page is indexed, when Google last crawled it, which canonical Google chose, and whether robots.txt or a noindex blocks it. List submitted sitemaps with their errors and warnings.

Example prompts
- How did my organic Google search do in the last 28 days compared with the 28 days before?”
- Find search queries where I rank 4 to 20 with lots of impressions — what should I improve first?”
- Which pages lost the most clicks this month, and for which searches?”
- Is https://example.com/pricing indexed? If not, why?”
Good to know
- Data lags 2–3 days. Search Console finalizes data after a couple of days, and its dates are in Pacific Time.
- About 16 months of history is available from Google. On the Free plan SyncMetrics covers the last 30 days.
- Read-only. SyncMetrics never adds sites, submits sitemaps or requests indexing.
- Not in Data Studio yet. During the beta, Search Console is available through Claude only.
- URL Inspection shows the version in Google's index, not a live test, and Google limits how many URLs a site can inspect per day.
